Canberra:

The true adventure began when we realized we were about 30 minutes late for our connecting flight to Canberra. Thankfully, the airline held the plane for us, as at least a dozen frantic passengers scrambled to make the flight. I even saw a heroic man navigating a queue that stretched an impressive 300 meters, just to catch a bus to the domestic terminal, which if you looked at the picture was a stone’s throw away. Still, the journey took all around the airport's perimeter and then we had to wait for 3 planes to cross.

I managed to get a bus from the airport into the city for free and into my lodging The Village and finally, after a challenging day, I found a great little bar which I’ve settled in at the Central Social Club, where I’m enjoying a well-deserved, ice-cold $9 beer. Here’s hoping the rest of the journey runs a bit more smoothly, but no matter what, I’m ready for whatever comes next!
