Meeting Strangers for a Walk

Contrary to my last few days, I could not sleep last night and woke up at 4 a.m. Today, I planned to go on a walking tour of the city, but it did not work out because it's winter, and a lot of the attractions are closed or have maintenance work being done. The walking tour does not start until March so I missed out on some educational incites into various attractions around the city. I have seen most of these already, but getting some in-depth history would have been very educational. I have not much going on today except finding a post office doing the tourist thing of sending postcards to the grandchildren. For breakfast, Mustafa was going to do me something but I passed because I wanted to get out and about and find a post office but on the way I had another pastry, khachapuri. I noticed a few days ago that men congregate at street corners in groups and in some cases, they play backgammon drinking tea which in these parts of the world are integrated into their society and upbringing. In Nepal, young people congregate wherever and play ludo on their phones and gamble on the outcomes. I spent a couple of hours following the warmth of the sun before going to the local bar near the hostel. I met up with a gentleman from Tbilisi who I met at the Browns Bar a few days ago, he knew I was going and staying in Bamuti for a few days and he decided to jump on the bus and he found me me just where he expected to find me having a beer. I suspect he knew where I was staying from our conversations he booked a hotel close to me found a pub and knew I would be there. This is pure speculation if he found me by accident in this large city God must have had a hand in it. I encouraged him to stay at the hostel I was at because it was nice but after our talk for an hour or so I never saw him again, I think I steered him the wrong way to the hostel, the bar was just off the corner and said go straight ahead 100 metres and you are there but from where I was sitting he had to go across the street left a 100 metres. There was not much left to do so I returned to the hostel preparing for my trip to Trabzon in Turkey tomorrow where I met up with Dima from Russia and Mustafa from Istanbul, he was trying hard to get me to stay but I had booked and paid for the trip so I had to leave but wanted to stay because I was making friends. We talked and laughed and enjoyed ourselves until it was time for sleep which was welcoming after a day of mixed fortunes.
