Morning Routine

After a good night's sleep, I was up and about by 7:30 am. Breakfast was simple, using leftovers from the past two days—two slices of toast, a can of tuna, and coffee. It’s fascinating to see the diverse breakfast choices of my hostel mates, who mostly look like they’ve just left school. I’ll be on my way to Cairns tomorrow, with my train scheduled to leave around 3:30 pm.

Shopping in the City

Today, I ventured into town in search of, a canvas man shoulder bag but only found leather ones ranging from $200 to $1000. I decided to wait until I get to Asia, where I hope to find something more suitable and affordable.

Refreshments and a Mishap

I stopped at Jimmy's on Queen Street for some afternoon refreshments—this isn’t Auckland, but Brisbane! Afterwards, I headed back to my hostel, Bunk Brisbane. At the bus stop, I decided to switch my NZ SIM card back to my Aussie SIM. Just as I opened my phone, a gust of wind blew my SIM card away, but despite seeing exactly where it went, it was nowhere to be found after searching with the help of a kind lady nearby. Ah, the joys of travel!

Reflections

In just three days, I’ll be leaving Australia. For those who’ve signed up for my newsletter, I promise to provide an honest account of my experiences here. Writing a travel blog and keeping it up-to-date is quite the task, but it’s all part of the adventure.

Travelling always brings unexpected challenges, but these moments make the journey memorable. Stay tuned for more updates as I travel to Cairns and beyond!
