Day 2: Exploring My Surroundings
Weather Update 🌞 Sunny, High: 8°C
Elevation Above Sea Level: 3Metres
First Impressions:
After my first day at this monstrous hotel, I knew I had to get back to my roots and lead a simpler way of life. The hotel is a hotel but not a hotel; people buy apartments for $25,000 and then rent them out as a way of making money. I saw the adverts at the airport but did not put too much emphasis on the implications until now. I rented a studio that did not live up to its representation.
Transitioning to a New Location
The weather has not improved much, but at least the sun is trying to shine. In the morning, I had already decided to move out to another location and spent the time walking there to familiarize myself with the area. I made a hopefully good decision, but only time will tell. The area I am moving to seems to have a different feel from the 60-storey hotel complexes scattered along the seafront.
Closing Thoughts
Not much to report about today because I'm transitioning to another location that I hope will be better. I'm going to drink the wine I was given before I left Tbilisi. There are a number of issues with my room, I took a list to reception describing my issues but had no response, it is a private residence in their hotel so it's not their fault it's up to the owner to fix them. As they say, sweet dreams from Batumi, Georgia, on the coast of the Black Sea.
Cheers to the adventures ahead and the stories yet to unfold! 🌏✨🏨🍷
